Dear Stefan, Thank you for the wonderful documentary on Palestinian
refugees in Lebanon that was shown last night on the ABC in Australia.
Congratulations on a great job and thank you for further educating
the world on this great disaster on humanity.
This subject is one very close to my heart as I marry my palestinian
fiancee in 3 weeks. We live in Newcastle, Australia. My fiancee
was born in a Palestinian refugeee camp in Southern Lebanon. He
was one of the lucky ones to leave when his father gainned employment
in Lebanon. Watching the documentary last night brought a mixture
of emotions to us both. My fiancee knew the camp well as his relatives
once lived in this camp. For my fiancee it brought back good and
bad memories as you showed in the documentary.
For myself as an Australian born, Australian Citizen I am disgraced
at the world and the little it does for these people. As one lady
sad last night 'they treat animals better then they treat us'.
My heart goes out to all Palestinians and too hope they can return
to there homeland one day soon.
I thank you again for your great work and look forward to seeing
more. I hope you could do a story on Palestinians around the world
and how they have fled Lebanon, there struggle and settling in
a new country and new culture.
Should you ever need Palestinian contacts for this subject I am
more than happy to help. I too hope to help these people and give
them a voice but I feel helpless at what to do. My wish is that
the the world hear the voices of the Palestinians and see what
great loving people they are and what they have to offer the world.
Thank you for you time,
Nicole
